We enter the following command in the Mainsail console: PID_CALIBRATE HEATER = extruder TARGET = 210 and confirm with Enter. The extruder now heats up to 210 degrees plus / minus several times and cools down in between.

When the tuning is finished, the determined values for Kp, Ki and Kd displayed. About Save Config the values are adopted.

Who primarily with PETG or similar prints, instead of the 210 °, a higher temperature, e.g. Specify 230 °.

The printer should be supervised during tuning!!

We now enter the following command in the Mainsail console: PID_CALIBRATE HEATER = heater_bed TARGET = 60 and confirm with Enter. The heatbed now heats up to 60 degrees plus / minus several times and cools down in between.

When the tuning is finished, the determined values are again via Safe Config saved

The PID tuning takes significantly longer with the heatbed. Of course, other temperatures can also be specified here.
