This is a kit of components for the user to assemble a 3D printer. Building and using the printer may be very dangerous, because it uses electricity, high temperatures and moving parts.
-
Building the printer requires technical skill and a good understanding of the work. We have provided comprehensive build documentation to help you build your Caribou 3d Printer Kit in a safe manner.
-
Ultimately, we cannot be responsible for your health and safety when building or operating the printer. With that in mind, be sure of what you are doing before you buy or build a 3D printer.
-
Electricity is used during construction and operation. Therefore, all necessary precautions must be taken and observed. The printer is powered from a 230 VAC, 50 Hz or 110 VAC / 60 Hz outlet.
-
Never connect the printer to any other power supply, as this may cause malfunction or damage to the printer.
-
Route the power cord so that you cannot trip over it, step on it, or otherwise cause damage. Make sure that the power cord is not damaged. However, if it is damaged, replace it before the next use.
-
When removing the power cord from the outlet, pull it out by the plug, not the cord, as this may damage the cord.

The device is intended for indoor use only. Always place the printer in a dry environment and at a minimum distance of 30 cm from other objects.
-
Place the printer on a flat, level surface so that the printer cannot fall or tip over.
-
3D printing involves high temperatures, with the extruder nozzle operating at 190 - 285°C, the heated printing bed at up to 110°C and the extruded filament is initially heated up to 280°C. Thus, special attention and caution is required when handling these heated parts of the printer during operation.
-
To avoid harmful fumes, it is essential to ensure that the temperature of the extruder nozzle does not exceed the decomposition temperature of the filament. This is usually 30°C - 40°C above the specified printing temperature of the filament. Observe the safety data sheet of the filament used.
-
Do not reach into the interior of the printer during operation. Injuries due to the movement of the printer cannot be ruled out.
-
Do not leave the printer unattended in the presence of a child or another person in need of assistance.
